Miki is a foundation member of our women’s cricket team and is their representative, along with her daughter Willow, on the committee. Miki is also our sponsorship coordinator and has done a fantastic job in this role in what is a difficult time for small businesses.
We value ourselves as an inclusive club and having female representation on our board evidences this but Miki truly deserves this position and we will continue to thrive with her in a senior leadership role at our club. We are proud to have you as our Vice President.
🔴🔵Presidency Announcement 🔴🔵 The Porta 🔴🔵Presidency Announcement 🔴🔵 The Portarlington Cricket Club are excited to announce the appointment of our new president Mark Tilders. We are very excited to see what the next chapter holds at Portarlington Cricket Club! Here are a few words from Mark : Dual premiership captain at Corowa Cricket Club (B grade), past Vice President at Corowa Cricket Club, past President at Coreen/ Daysdale/ Hopefield Buraja United Football Club, captain of PCC C grade for three seasons, player at PCC since 2016, committee member since 2017, team manager for the PCC under 15’s in 2020/21, assistant coach of the PCC women’s team. Dual cricketer of the year for PCC C grade team.

I took on the role as President at PCC as I am passionate about providing a safe and family friendly club for our young players, male and female, to progress as both people and cricketers and to drive our future success. I have seen first hand the work that people like Pete Evans, Ronny Verdeison, Louise Clohessy and James Harvey have put in and I just wanted to ensure that their hard work would be rewarded. There’s so much potential at our club and just want to ensure that this potential is realised. As a Social Worker, I want to be involved in our community and help to provide a place for people to feel connected and socially included. I have seen PCC do this since I arrived and I want to continue to do that alongside achieving sustainable and long term success. Congratulations again Mark 🔵🔴

On the back of our coaching announcement the Porta On the back of our coaching announcement the Portarlington Cricket Club would like to say a huge thank you to David Bullock for all his hard work as Senior Coach over the past 2 seasons.

Dave is a huge asset to our club, he has put in countless amount of work on and off the field. The club appreciates all the hard work that Dave has put in and what people saw of him during the week at the club, was only a fraction of the work he actually put in.

Dave has also ensured that our new coach, Matt Long, has a playing list that is capable of attaining and sustaining success for the foreseeable future.

We look forward to continued success with Dave as he takes a step back into a playing role this season! We are extremely thankful and lucky to have you as a part of our club!

Thank you again Dave!
🔴🔵 SENIOR CLUB COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT 🔵🔴

Portarlington Cricket Club are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of our new Senior Coach- Matthew Long.

We are extremely thrilled to have Matthew on board for the upcoming season.

Here is a few words from Matthew:

Thank you to Pete Evans and the committee for appointing me to the role of senior head coach. I’m looking forward to being apart of the Portarlington Cricket Club.

My Nan Dorothy Beck lived in Indented Head for 40 years so I spent lots of time in Port as a kid, I’m proud to coach the club and keep that family link to the area. My family moved to Clifton Springs in 2019 and we feel it’s important to be more involved with the local community.

I’ve spent 26 years at the East Belmont Cricket Club, all the way from U/12s to seniors. While it was not an easy decision to leave, I’m confident that I’ve made the right choice of clubs to continue the second part of my cricket career as a coach. I’ve spent the last 12 seasons coaching juniors, from blasters all the way up to U/17s last season. The last 2 years of that time I held the role of junior coordinator which will hold me in good stead in my new role.

I’m also looking forward with renewed passion to taking the field as a player. The last 4 seasons were spent playing in the lower grades with my son Joey, other junior players and mates. The prospect of playing at a higher level is exciting having played plenty of cricket in the 2nds and 3rds over the years and 1sts at the Burnley Cricket Club in Melbourne.

One thing that attracted me to this role is the strong junior program in place. I look forward to continuing my passion for junior development, surround the young players with senior support as we build to playing finals in the 1sts, continue the great work the 2nds and 3rds did last season, playing good cricket across all the grades.

I look forward to meeting everyone soon and helping usher in a new era for the Portarlington Cricket Club

Thank you again to Matthew and his family. A very warm welcome to Portarlington Cricket Club. 🔴🔵🏏
