More good news on the Junior front. At seasons e

More good news on the Junior front.

At seasons end we have had 4 players collect awards for their personnel achievements in the sections they competed in this year.

U/13 Agg
Riley Illingworth (3rd Photo- Right) took the most wickets in that section with 19, and also had the best average with the ball with a 6.63 average. 2 more trophies for the young man.

U/13 Norquay
Matteo Surace ( 2nd Photo- Middle) compiled the most runs 301. Great performance.
Archie Hearn (1st Photo) was awarded the best batting average making 200 at an average of 102. Unbelievable effort.

U/17 Just
Jim Tilders took the most wickets 17 in the section as a bottom age player.
Jim also had the best average at 13.18 as well.

Fantastic effort by the players in the season just passed. Congratulations from everyone at the Cricket Club and we look forward to more succeed befit the seasons end with a number of our Juniors playing in Senior Grand Finals coining up this coming weekend.

Hi All,
Just letting you know that our U/13 Eden team is playing in a Grand Final on Saturday Morning at Drysdale Recreation Reserve, located off Granville street. It would be great to see some Red and Blue support for the team if you have the time. The game is a 30/30 over game and will start @ 8.15 am.

Port Eden Vs Ocean Grove @ Drysdale Recreation Reserve, please be at the ground by 7.45am for a 8.15 start, bring drink and something to eat, hat and sunscreen.

🔴🔵 UNDER 17’s- Portarlington Cricket Club

🔴🔵 UNDER 17’s- Portarlington Cricket Club 🔵🔴

Our U/17’s were limited with numbers from the start of the season, this is a common theme around the Association. So our players entered into a combine side with Leopold CC primarily. Many thanks to Leopold CC Junior Co ordinator Sean Bolland who was able to supply a Coach Uli, and a Team Manager Fiona Blyth. Getting the team going was a great effort, our players enjoyed the experience and gained new friendships and fresh ideas from new voices. In writing this report I believe that Jim Tilders has earned the achievement of U/17 Div 1 Section Just Bowling award having taken 17 wickets @ 13.18 with a best of 5/25. Fantastic effort Jim. Jack Baldi was our best performed batsman with an aggregate of 147 @ 23.

Many thanks to the families who supported the players, getting them to training at Leopold and to all the games during the year. The boys only had one home game at Port so the season involved a lot of travel.
